ABOUT
A pic take of me (WHHAAT NO WA-)
Hello hello! 💙

My name is Jacob, and I am a freelance digital artist who mainly works on comics and illustrations!!

I've been drawing for almost my whole life but first started getting serious with my art when I was 15 years old.

For my start on the social media world, the first drawing I ever posted online was on June 9, 2022, on Instagram. That was the beginning of me posting so many fun art pieces on social media, and showing them for all to enjoy!!
Cartoons, comics, and anime were the most significant influences on my drawings ever since I was six years old, and those amazing stories still inspire me to this day! And you can still see some of those art styles in my art today, which is so fun :D (can you guess which ones influenced me most: Impossible edition)

A lot of my first art pieces was copying cool things I saw on the internet and all around me and drew them all on some wrinkly paper. I drew SO much Pokémon art and anime character designs, I loved doing it so much! Buuuuttttt I also would go around and saying that I created them by myself and now I learn is called plagiarizing kiddos (now drawing from other people's drawing and designs isn't bad okay? Just the claiming it is all yours) but that was such a vital time of my art journey. If you are a beginner and you want to get into getting more into it - my best advice would be draw your FAVORITE things! Draw that character you like, doodle that bird on the tree, sketch out a dragon you saw on Pinterest!
You all have enriched my life, and I genuinely love every second I spend with you. Thank you, for being with me, thank you for supporting and encouraging me, and thank you for existing here with me. I pray I can continue to share more of my goofy drawings with you✨

What are some tips for beginning artists?
1. Draw what you love
2. Using references is OKAY!!
3. Compare yourself to YOURSELF, not others
Also, this is just something I want to tell you all just in case you haven't heard it
No matter what expensive products or anything you have, it does NOT make your art "better". It could possibly make your workflow more smooth and easier, but it doesn't make you more of an artist or anything weird like that.
For my first years as a digital artist, I used MS paint, my family's old computer, and a mouse to create art, and I absolutely loved doing it.
You don't have to come from an artistic family, you don't have to have the most high quality products-

If you love to draw, you are an ARTIST

Keep drawing, keep getting inspired, and keep being amazing✨
